Hey,

In original pokerai site there was possibility to get access to 1 billion hand histories.

Anyone has an idea whether it's still possible, what are the requirements and who to contact for it?

I'm currently writing bachelor's thesis and could supply proof.

I could try to publish this stuff (in the proprietary db format and tools) once we are done with shutting down the old site, but currently have no time for this. If any other member wants to setup ftp for thsoe and/or send those to muler feel free ...

That's disappointing. Plan B is to buy the hand histories.

Is it possible to find hh's that includes hero holecards?

No it's generally not possible to get hero's cards unless you are buying the hand histories from a pro and basically pay him to see his cards.

I still have a backup of those hands, Indy, are you okay with releasing them to the public?

I sent Indiana a quick PM on the previous site, but as I thought he's super busy.
Coffee4tw, I'm really interested in getting the data too.
I can send you an application form (like the one from the last forum) as it's for an Honours Project.

Thanks

Currently we are all too busy with the transfer and the setup of this site to cater to individual requests. My question to indiana was more intended for future interpretation of his statement.

You can send me that application but I won't get to it for a while I think.

What games are these HH files? I really need some HU Cash HH files. I need to do some work on putting people on more precise ranges based on their preflop stats. Top X% is not really reality (although it should be mathematically). Right now its fairly accurate but I think I could improve it by 10-20% by running simulations on HH files. My major problem area is a guy who flats in the 20-25% and also 3 bets in the 25% area which means he has polarized his 3 betting range. This is difficult to accurately assign him a range on his non value hands. Some players will 3 bet suited connectors while others will flat them. Others will 3 bet blockers and others fold them all to a raise. Generally they would flat the the connectors and 3 bet the suited garbage/blockers because 3 bet folding is a bad idea obviously. Every player is different which of course makes all this tough to figure out with any degree of accuracy.

Another note: These hands are so old (2006/2007 maybe?) that I believe them to be way too out of date to be any use in profiling and generating successful strategies. The game has change a LOT in the last 5 years.

But to answer your question, there are hands for all types of games. LHE, NLHE, Omaha, HU, 6max, FR, micro stakes, mid stakes, high stakes. Anything really.
