| Post subject: | Beal Prize |
The prize for this recently got up'ed to $1m. Anybody thought of searching for a counter-example? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beal%27s_conjecture Maybe somebody with a maths background could suggest an exploration strategy. I have an idea, but it's probably not the right one.

So if you want to claim the prize, I suggest switching strategies to trying to prove that it is true, rather than trying to find a counterexample. My idea was to select from a large list of known prime numbers for A, B, and C. This would save one the time it takes to check if they're co-prime. |
