Hi, I am a new member of this forum and I can't find where to ask questions so I decided to write it here. I've decided to write a poker bot, I am writing in Java, also know c++ and c (but remembering it takes a lot of time) now I can only write an algorithm and I don't know a lot of stuff like how to read the current situation,how to make moves, what different kind of problems may I encounter, can I find free source (template) of reading boards. Can I buy it somewhere? do i have to write OCR for every poker software and so on.
if someone has time to help me please.. thanks in advance.

You can try starting with OpenHoldemBot, but you'll be limited to Windows platform....
Also Google is your friend I found a lot of interesting and useful things related to Poker Botting just googling around.

Just write your own scraper using the AutoIt DLL which is pretty easy to do. For OCR you could use the Tesseract stuff which works well too. Both are free.
