In principle of course they could see the vnc server process. And I remember a case when they banned someone for doing just this. If you are going to put software on the casino client you need to know a bit about reverse engineering to hide it properly. Or don't put software on the casino client: such solutions include hardware screen scraping and cameras.

Hi how do you solve the problem with mouse api being detectable by casino client?

This usb should help in screen sharing between 2 PCs :

This requires software on the casino machine

You can hide process with rootkit.

Hi could you please give more details about hardware screen scraping?

I've seen quite some people talk about rootkits, are they really as undetectable as people claim? Surely it must call some windows functions that can potentially be tracked?

Don't these things show up in the device manager? If they do, it could raise flags if sites like PokerStars do thorough checks on stuff like registry entries.

The monitor part shows up as a monitor. The EDID might be a giveaway if you can't spoof it somehow. I'm not sure but I think the mouse / keyboard ids appear generic. If not you could create your own that mimic real devices.

did you try usb 3.0 capture hdmi?
As i understood, usb 3.0 capture hdmi shares only video between 2 devices, it doesn't share keyboard and mouse control. The only device I have found is kvm2usb that shares video, keyboard and mouse between 2 PCs as spears suggested. I have read fo kvm2usb that max video resolution is 1280x1024 which is quite low, I am not sure if I understood it correct, and if information about product is correct? Spears, can you please tell if you are satisfied with kvm2usb, is it sending mouse and keyboard fast enough, is video resolution good enough?
My scraping method is based on openholdem, it requires access to table process, so is it possible with kvm2usb to also get access to processes on other PC?

I'm told it is ok

Of course not

Yes. I tryed it just now. There is some software problems appeared. I tryed to get video by opencv, but it is too slow for my purpouses. 4FPS and delay 2seconds. It is too slow. Now tryed directshow tehniks to make friends with it.

It doesnot support mouse and keyboard simulation but:
1. I dont need it. Anyway best clicker is a human.
2. it is too simple make it yourself. Long long ago I had make hardware keyboard logger on atmel microcontroller.
it is mutch simple then make good bot :)

Has anyone tried something like this for screen scraping? Seems like it would work.

I was planning on using openholdem because it seems to make building a poker bot a million times easier.
So, kvm2usb isn't an option if you're using openholdem?

On the openholdem forums they say everywhere to use bring but over here everyone is saying that it's easy to get detected if you use something like that?

Do you really need maximum possible level of stealth to get away with botting on PS?
On openholdem forums they say that using VM and bring is enough stealth for every pokersite except PS and even on PS it can work.

I guess it's hard to know which sites actually ban you just for using a VM because you don't know for sure if that's the reason they banned you.
But wouldn't it be a legit reason to use a VM to play poker on if you are a linux user and pokersites don't suppport linux?

I read somewhere a guy was banned for this reason !

Bring + VM is surely not enough. You need a good rootkit to hide bring.exe from poker client. On open holdem forum they talk more about open holdem less about stealth and only about basic stealth which is enough on low security sites which have low traffic.

That makes sense.
But I still wonder if it's possible to use kvm2usb with openholdem?
Because it sounds like if you use 2 computers and kvm2usb then you will have a great stealth that won't get detected even on PS as long as you have good human emulation behaviour on your actions.
If openholdem and kvm2usb doesn't work together then I guess... hmm, maybe it's still best to start with openholdem and create a winning bot on a small site and after that you can scrap openholdem and create a new shell for your bot that can be played on PS.

Btw, the difference when it comes to results between a big site like PS and a small site is that you can play more tables at the same time? On a small site you can only find maybe 6 50nl tables and 3 25nl just for example... but on PS you can play maybe 20 50nl tables at the same time... plus your strategy can make more bb/100 on PS since it has less bots (softer field)?

Post subject:  Re: Screen sharing and then screen scraping?

Hi,

I use open holdem for scraping only, my bot is done in c#.
Open holdem uses handles for scraping. From handle it takes screenshot for specific region e.g. for bet size of bot and then does scraping from that part of image. The advantage of using handles is that your table can be anywhere on the screen, the location doesn't matter. I currently play on low security sites with VM as stealth. I don't have problems with bans so far. My plan is to use 2 PC system
at some point soon and play on stars. ON low security sites you have solid rakeback but either it has solid traffic like party poker, 888, microgaming but it is full of other bots and low % of fish at the tables or it has very low traffic. On pokerstars you can due to high traffic play with many more accounts, in different shifts. The problem with stars is not only hiding bot and playing as human as possible, but
also they compare strategies of different accounts. Off course
your bot would generate very similar stats after 100k hands with different accounts. In order to have different strategy you have to
modify preflop and postflop ranges for each account. That is why there are so many challenges on pokerstars and it would be very hard to run multi accounts there.

- kvm2usb might be detectable through its EDID so you'd have to overcome that. Also you have to simulate human mouse moves.
- I reckon game capture devices might be a good way round the EDID problem, but then you have to build your own mouse emulator
- The only reason i can think of why openholdem might not work with kvm2usb is that screen resolution might not be good enough.

Definitely keep away from PS until you have a decent AI and stealth
