I've been reading lots of poker papers and they often use mathematical notation consisting of greek characters. I'd like to read up on this to help me understand the concepts but don't know what the notation format is called which limits my ability to go out and learn about it somewhat !

Why not post your queries here? Nobody will translate an entire page, but you might get help on well chosen snippets.

thanks spears. i'll make a start of some translations, if we can make the poker papers more accessible it can only further discussion of the concepts
