Simple question: in which countries using bots to play online poker for a real money is legal, and in which is not?

- It is a simple question, but I don't think there is a simple answer.
- Suggest you search this forum and the archives for the many views there are.
- I don't know of a single case of anyone being prosecuted

It's legal in every country, you won't be charged with anything if you do. That is as long as you keep it "honest", i.e. don't use many bots on same table, etc.

However, when using a poker room you agreed to their ToS, in which it's clearly stated that this is prohibited and may result in a permanent suspension of account.

Not true - some countries/states have laws against computer aided gambling. These laws also make HUDs illegal however.

Not heard of such laws, but even if there are - I'm not sure that's enforceable because it's such a vague term. Even using keyboard over mouse clicking is computer aid.

its not as easy as it looks like.

The poker site has the right to ban you and keep the money in the account, if you contravene their terms and conditions. (referring to Bot T&C only which are not illigeal like other T&C are ;) )

You don't break any laws, as long as your bot is playing a standard ai/rule based system, using naything other players have access too.
If your bot tries to sniff e.g. network traffic and tries to get any hidden informations like holecards etc. thats breaking the law. If you have more bots teamed up at the table, its a law breaking collusion

Probably the part which hits most of you. You also break the law if you are using fake accounts.

Does anybody know about cases where pokerroms complained to payment systems (Skrill, Neteller, etc.) and tried to block bot's accounts not only in the pokerrooms but in payment systems?
