New Jersey recently passed legislation that legalizes online poker. Shortly there after stars applied for a state gambling license (still pending). Last week New York state's budget proposal was published with a provision for regulating & taxing online poker. (= |

As far as I know there are a few online casinos that still offer poker. Traffic is minimal though. This is good news! Last I heard was that PS tried to acquire a casino and acquire a license for online poker through that. That was shutdown though. From the sound of that article, it would only be legal for state residents. It sounds like PS is trying to gain legitimate footing in the US, if only this one state to start. Maybe it would give them lobbying power as other states consider online gambling? |

Yeah it would basically give them a foot in the door. I don't exactly know how the law works but other casinos are offering it to all US players, regardless of the state they live in and whether its laws. Not sure how that works but it does somehow. Cashing out is a giant pain though apparently, taking weeks if not months even. |
