Has anyone investigated the possibilities of exploiting mobile poker rooms?
I.e. http://www.pokerstars.com/mobile/

Are spyware capabilities on Android or iOS more limited compared to Windows OS?
Also snooping on the i/o traffic should be easier, maybe even a possibility to create headless poker client?
Poker sites can't really track for things like cursor movement, can't really resize screen much, can't trigger captcha and so on.

The problem is that you'll get flagged instantly if you play a lot of hours/tables I guess.

And you can't multi-table so unless your bot is winning at a sick rate it's not really worth your while.

Wouldn't that be a flag, a phone OS from a non-phone ISP?

No, just build a server farm in a nearby McDonalds or Starbucks and use the free wifi :-)

Actually, the idea isn't that bad.
For instance http://androvm.org/blog/.
Afaik you can emulate the hardware so that it seems a real smatphone / tablet is running.
VPNs would be the most expensive part.

If someones pokerlogic is not able to earn enough money to pay a vpn service, he should invest his time in other things than coding a bot ;)

VPNs are flags, Phone VMs are flags and everything together is likely slow and unusable.
Basic user patterns are against you as a botter on phones, you'll never be able to make any sort of profit with a regular phone user's behavior and playing pattern.

If you made a HUD for android or iOS there's probably some cash to be made licensing it as an app. Would not have much (if any???) competition. Then again probably would not be worth the effort. Kinda off topic too, my bad

There are so many issues and flags that I can think of with that. What makes you think is is going to be a good idea in the future?

The flag is not a ban. I'm not afraid of the flag or ban at the beginning. I can afford to lose $100 in an attempt to find a profitable place.

In the future, because the room in which I want to play doesn't have android client now. They plan to release it this year. There is a bonus that is hard to get on PC.

hmmm... The size of the archive Android SDK is 405,9MB. Installation and configuration is time-consuming. I cann't run the SDK Manager at VDS.

Given current trends (and I wish they weren't so), with growth in tablet/smartphone markets, and reduction in sales of PCs, it would be safe to conclude that future of online entertainment is on these devices, and not on PCs.

From there, it would be safe to conclude that future of online botting is exactly on those devices.

Yes, both IOS and Android can run inside simulated hardware, but these are trivial to detect from the app, and much less likely to be widely used by legitimate players (eg Mac user playing on PC-client only site).

Both IOS and Android run on Linux kernel, which is not as friendly to memory reads and unsolicited interference.

Actual phone/tablet won't be able to run the bot and poker client without custom kernel. Lucky for us, custom kernels on Android devices are relatively widespread.

Also lucky for us, legitimate apps will have much less access to interrogate what else we have running, and certainly can't enumerate processes, checksum files, and report our browsing history..

My conclusion is -- tools and techniques will change, but not much else..
