I don't use VMs but I doubt it. Google "where am i now" on a browser on the VM and you will find out.
- A computer using a fixed line gets its location from the internet connection, because the telephone exchanges know where they are.
- A computer using a cellular phone connection gets its location from the phone masts
- A phone with GPS gets its location from the GPS signal
- Public wi-fi connections know where they are, so a computer using them would be able to know where it is.
