a documentary, or the movie about him? ;)
reading the book was a pleasure way back....

btw, I met and shortly talked to him (mr. nice from the picture) once. probably a smart guy at some point, when I met him he seems rather worn out. I guess thats where this route can take you after all...

I don't see how this can be right as it implies you can foretell the future

For imperfect recall, you just look at the current street, so flop = regret[flopbucket], turn = regret[turnbucket], river = regret[riverbucket].

Isn't this more like total amnesia? I vaguely recall that you had to remember something from earlier rounds but in less detail, but I could be wrong.

Thanks for your reply.

I have read somewhere that's possible to mix imperfect and perferct recall. So at flop, turn and river you don"t remember the PReflop bucket so I suppose in that case that bucketing will be like that :

PreFlop : cards[preflopbucket]
Flop : cards[flopbucket]
Turn : cards[flopbucket][turnbucket]
River : cards[flopbucket][turnbucket][riverbucket]

I'm wondering how should I define bucketing per street.

I'm using chance sampled as CFRM algo. So I will know all private and public cards before starting the game (as far as I have understood)

So I have 2 ideas how to define buckets for regret in my infosets :

1st idea (more logical) :
Flop : regret[preflopbucket][flopbucket]
Turn : regret[preflopbucket][flopbucket][turnbucket]
River : regret[preflopbucket][flopbucket][turnbucket][riverbucket]

or 2nd idea :
Flop, Turn, River : regret[preflopbucket][flopbucket][turnbucket][riverbucket]

Which is the right one ?

By the way this is for perfect recall if I have clearky understood.

So if I want imperfect recall, my bucketing will be :
Flop : regret[flopbucket]
Turn : regret[flopbucket][turnbucket]
River : regret[flopbucket][turnbucket][riverbucket]

Could you please confirm ?

Regards,

MrNice
