I can only "half" login in IE 7. By this I mean my name appears at the bottom but and can't post and no logout link appears.

But I can login in Firefox.

Ironically on my old machine two weeks ago I had the opposite problem: could login in firefox, but not IE.

Looks like a cookie problem.

Delete all cookies, close browser, open and login.

The screenshot that you posted does not have you login (you haev login/register on the top).

I think this has something to do with changing from pokerai.org to http://www.pokerai.org and vice versa. We once investigated that and I still haev to look into that deeper. Sorry for the inconvinience, and post if you still have problems.

Reported that a while ago. The site considers http://www.pokerai.org and http://pokerai.org as different sessions.

You have to login in one of these, with www or without and always stick to it. When you follow links (someone posting to another thread, indiana's link always lack www. :D) or your own bookmark (you may have some with/without www) you need to edit said link too or you'll still appear to be logged in the users box (you are, in the other session) but you'll be asked to login again.

I found www. more convenient somehow back then (possibly some internal links that were in www. when login in, can't remember) and stick to it, apart from indy's link that I manually edit I'm usually fine.

Right. Not logged in at the top, but name appears at bottom as browser.

Anyway, problem disappeared now, and not a huge inconvenience. Just thought it might be worth mentioning.

The name in the bottom appears for a while (i.e. if you login, and does not logout) then it appears there for 10 minutes or so.

I don't know if this is a silly question, but I can't access the articles on the main site. I register and then it informs me that I should login, but I can't find anywhere to login. Is it because I am a new member?

Thank you

He doesnt mean the forums but the main page of pokerai.org
I always wondered about that too. Assuming its a different login, you can register independantly there but I don't know if there is actually benefit in that, is there?

Ops, that's a good point. Once upon a time there was separate registartion required for the main page. Since then, I removed that overhead, but few articles still remained requiring special registration. I will fix that at some point (remove the need for registration). There is very little "hidden" content on the main portal page, and the discussions in the forums already exceed in quallity what was published there long time ago.
