As the title states, where is it legal to still play poker from the US?

Also, what sites have been good to play at, user friendly and such?

What sites have an easy way to deposit from the US?
-Ive found that one site wanted me to sign up through some other company and that company wanted me to send SSN and a picture and whatever else... this is unacceptable.

Technically, it's illegal to play poker everywhere, or at least illegal to transfer money to any online casino (is the case NY is trying make). However, any other sites that accept American players, other than the three under indictment, should be Ok to join.

Try Poker Stars, Carbon Poker, Avery Poker...

I thought Poker Stars is non-US? I would really be surprised if they would accept US players while the CIA is searching throught their files :D

Sounds pretty crazy what's going on in the US at the moment.

They haven't for a while, they left the US market when UIGEA was passed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bwin.Party ... egislation

I've heard of some sites trying the subscription for prize route in order to get around the US laws. That's the case of next season's HSP sponsor : http://www.onlinepoker.net/poker-news/p ... nsor/10604
