To be fair you have provided extremely little information for us to go on.

What is the input architecture (scraper, mem scan, etc) for your bot? If your bot can function with minimized tables that changes your monitor requirements.

Are you planning on each account running an independent copy of your bots software? Or will they be connecting to a server of yours?

does your current bot use a database? If so when you scale operations are you going to setup a new local database for each account (gulp) or will a centralized database with triple layer replication & redundancy be used?

In this part of your original post struck me as a little odd.

If you were in the early planning phase of your bot that would be a GREAT question to ask. But you are asking for advice on how to scale your existing bot. Those are two different problems.

I think most members that have put serious thought into the logistics of scaling a bot operation would tell you that it's highly dependent on the architecture of your software. Since the OP does not tell us much about your software, we can only offer generic advice on the few problems that all bots - no matter what their architecture - will encounter.

So I guess what I'm trying to say is either be more specific or enjoy our take on VPN's and computer monitors. You know the "intellectual challenge" I keep reading about in the hello fourm. (=

PS all of this assumes you have the financial details of opening additional accounts worked out.

It's actualy not. Since most reliable configurations use VM's and VM is always the tight spot for scalability.

I'd say buying machine for botting would be most cost effective, but if a pure vitual solution absolutly necessary i'd say running most of resource-hungry tasks in a cloud is a viable option.
It would require a lot more complex configuration though.

I was asking a general question, and my bot is just an example. Anyone who plans to make money from the bot faces this problem sooner or later, I'm definitely not the first.

There is no point to ask about scaling my existing bot since I am the only person who can answer :)

The question is rather about changing bot's architecture the right way. But which way is right?
