Is anyone interested in writing a pure-python implementation of the 2+2 evaluator? Or in R?

In pure python it's terribly slow and no use for real-time calculation...however...I have a Heads Up only calculator that may be useful as a code base? As I don't play anything other than HU SNG's, I tailored it to suit those games.

It loads HandRanks.dat and runs Monte Carlo simulations/random lookups for a fixed amount of time, usually 2 or 3 seconds. It can take opponent hand range as a "top X%"...i.e. "top 65%", "top 80%", etc or an exact hand such as "As5d" or "Jh3c".

Basic files attached...requires standard HandRanks.dat file adding to same directory in order to run.

Windows only since it uses MFC for the gui.

does anyone know any good testbed for checking out how a python based bot performs against others? :)

In my python bot I simply used SNGEGT from the command line (linux server). The startup time is negligible if you patch out the parsing stuff for evs.txt and replace it with an unserializer for the "evs" 2d-array. I ended up replacing all of the SNGEGT stuff however since there are just too many corner cases where SNGEGT can't cope.

So what you are using now instead of SNGEGT? It looks like I'm also going to replace it with something else...

Let me introduce to the python thread...
Xpresser| https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Xpresser
Cross platform initially designed for linux but now works on windows.

And a real gem is also...
SIKULI | http://www.sikuli.org/
Cross platform also, but this is jython and takes some fiddling to import to python directly.

btw: could someone kindly up the dat file used to make the hash table in the 2+2 eval method, i cant generate my own with the tool im on linux and cbf with wine, thanks in advance.
