We can use this thread to discuss and provide statements of intentions to implement reference pieces around the open poker protocol, once this is ready.

What I plan for:
  • Website where I will host sample backend implementations of bots - poker academy bots, etc. Any user will be able to play via web based GUI against the sample bots. While these bots will be available also for real money play, no winning rate will be claimed, and there will be restriction on the number of hands one can play (as this is a free service).
  • The authors of the default bots will be able to provide and host themselve *improved* versions of the hosted bots. This is upto them. Just as an example: I might host e.g. a mabots (C) implementation, poki-poker poker academy implementation, and bluffbot (1.0) implementation for free. The authors of mabots and bluffbot on the other hand, can provide commercially improved version of these bots. These are only examples: If anyone wants to claim intentions to support early the protocol - feel free to express them here.
  • (tentatively) plan to provide free, open source Java helper classes /wrappers as backend APIs to the protocol
  • (tentatively) plan to provide free whuser.dll as frontend bridge to winholdem and openholdem. Anyone that wants to take over this part - that will be greatly appreciated, as I don't feel as being a good expert in winholdem now.
