I'm implementing a CFRM solution for shortstacked games (<= 25bbs). One design choice I have to make is how to assign hands to buckets. Given we have a fixed amount of memory available (e.g. space for 10000 buckets total), I wonder if someone compared the following strategies:
S1: Use 10 buckets per street keeping history information (e.g. we store for a hand on the turn sth like (B1->B5->B6)
S2: Discard previous bucket history, but use more buckets per Street.

Personally, I'd assume that even though keeping the history helps us in certain spots to make better decisions, these cases are rare while increasing the number of buckets per round improves the quality in all cases. However, I'd love to hear if someone experimented with both techniques.
